The Sun Always Shines in Karlstad

So here is how the story goes. 

My friend Lauren biked across the USA this summer. On her way she met Emil and Dean. Emil is Swedish and Dean is American but studying in Malmö this semester. As a way to see as much of Sweden as possible and meet new people I contacted Emil. He graciously welcomed me to stay with him for a weekend. 

So on Friday morning Liz and I took the train to Karlstad.

Karlstad is a small city on lake Värnen in the province of Värmland. It is located to the West of Uppsala, about three and a half hours by train.

Emil's apartment was located right near the university. It was a lovely and very Swedish apartment.
