Barcelona- The City

I spent my time in Barcelona with a friend from high school. Michael goes to school at St. Andrews in Scotland but is spending the semester studying in Barcelona.
Here are some photos taken from around the city.

The pool on the roof of Michaela's building.
There are pools on the roofs of student housing in Barcelona and saunas on the roofs of student housing in Sweden. ha.

A view of the Sagrada Fmailia from the roof.
We walked down the the ocean, just a 20 minute walk form where Michaela is living. r
The Mediterranean Sea!!

The Picasso Museum is free on Sundays so Michaela and I popped in before dinner.
The building was beautiful as was the work. It was amazing to see the wide variety of Picasso's work all in one spot.

Market under construction
Bull Fighting Arena
Plaza de Toros
Many of the building had ornately decorated facades.

We strolled through the food market of course.
Meat. Chocolate. Fruit.

Arch de Triomf

In the city park

These are just a few shots taken from around the city.
Be sure to check out the posts with pictures of Gaudi's work and another post of some of what was consumed in Barcelona.
