Uppland Excursion- Part 3

Sigtuna
The last stop on our tour was Sigtuna, the oldest city in Sweden. It was founded in 980! It is a quaint town right on the lake Mälaren.
A Bed and Breakfast

The Garden

In Sigtuna, Linnea and I broke away from our tour and decided to explore the town on our own. I think it can be much more enjoyable exploring on your own.
The main street. We happen to arrive right at the end of a running race.
We stumbled into to cutest little shop full of beautiful ceramics, Teas, Coffee, Treats and little Swedish nicknacks. Linnea and I each bought a bag to loose leaf and hand packaged tea for only 20kr.
Inside the shop!

I wanted to buy all of the pottery!

A Cute Cafe.

All the buildings and houses were such beautiful colors. It was so cheerful. They say the bright cheery colors help reflect the sunlight off of the snow during the dark winter months making it feel brighter.

The Harbor

After exploring it was time to sit down and enjoy some ice cream by the water. Always a lovely end to a wonderful day.
My Kaktus-Citron Sorbet.
Linnea's Pear Ice Cream

Water! It was freezing, it must have been in the 50's.

I LOVE the Sky here.
Clouds.
 So Beautiful.
